Average PSL Score
On the 0-8 PSL scale, the average range is usually given as roughly 3.0 to 4.5, above average starts around 4.5, and 6.0 or higher is treated as top-1% territory. These bands are community conventions, not measured population statistics.
How PSL Scores Are Grouped
Below average
Below 3.0Described in community terms as sub 5 or low tier. Structural weaknesses tend to dominate the overall read.
Average
3.0 - 4.5The mid tier band where most faces are placed. No strong halos, no dominant failos.
Above average
4.5 - 5.5High tier normie territory. Usually one or two clear strengths and no major weak points.
High
5.5 - 6.0Chadlite or Stacylite. Uncommon - consistently strong structure across most traits.
Exceptional
6.0 and aboveChad or Stacy and above, generally described as roughly the top 1% and rarer as the number rises.

What “Good” Actually Means Here
Because the scale is rarity-anchored, the distance between 4.0 and 4.5 is not the same as the distance between 6.0 and 6.5. Most faces are packed into the middle, so small moves near the average change percentile a lot less than small moves near the top. A “good score” in practice means being clearly outside the crowded middle band.
A Note on Percentiles
Percentile figures circulated alongside PSL tiers - “top 1%”, “top 5%” - originate from online attractiveness communities. They are useful shorthand for relative rarity, but they are not derived from a representative population sample and should not be read as scientifically established distributions. Attractiveness research does support that symmetry and averageness correlate with perceived attractiveness, but it does not define PSL tiers.

That is expected. PSL grades facial structure only on a rarity-calibrated 0-8 range, while a 1-10 rating includes grooming, style, and overall impression.
